Privacy Policy
Thumbkeeper has no accounts, no upload form and no application server. This page describes exactly what happens to the information you type and what leaves your browser.
The link you paste
The video link or video ID you paste is read by JavaScript running in your own browser. It is used for one thing: building the five image addresses for that video. It is not transmitted to Thumbkeeper, because Thumbkeeper has no server-side code that could receive it, and it is not stored anywhere — reloading the page clears it.
Files you never upload
You never upload a file to Thumbkeeper. There is no upload feature on this site, and no image or document is stored on our side. When you press Download, the browser fetches the image directly from YouTube and saves it to your own device.
Requests made to YouTube
To display a thumbnail, your browser requests the image from YouTube's image servers at i.ytimg.com. Those requests are made by your browser directly to Google, so Google receives standard technical data such as your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page you came from, and handles it under Google's own privacy policy. Thumbkeeper does not proxy, cache or copy those images.
Cookies and local storage
The scripts on this site do not set cookies and do not write to local storage or session storage. The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes each request in order to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse, and may set its own security-related cookies for that purpose; that processing is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Server logs
Like any website, the host records standard request information — the URL requested, the time, the response status, the IP address and the user agent. Those logs are used for delivering the site and for security, not for building profiles of visitors.
Third-party advertising
Thumbkeeper does not display third-party advertising today. If third-party ads are added in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live, and the ad provider's own cookie and privacy terms will apply to the data it collects.
Analytics
This site does not run a third-party analytics script and does not set tracking cookies.
Children
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13.
